OPEN THE WINDOWS AND LET THE WORLD IN!

Bob was awarded Maine's Technology Teacher of the Year in 2006 from ACTEM. His students have received world-wide recognition for their "Room 208 Podcast", and have appeared in numerous articles, including, The New York Times and Apple's Education Site. Bob has his own podcast ("Bit by Bit") to help teachers incorporate technology into their classrooms. 

Bob will share his journey of how he started blogging and podcasting with his students, showing the benefits of connecting a classroom to a global, authentic audience. Participants will hear testimony from the students on the value of creating a podcast, and leave with a better understanding of the effects that blogs and podcasts have on instruction, the motivation of students, and the instructional benefits for reading, writing, and research skills. Participants will also leave with resources that will support and extend their own professional development.
