Six Traits and Informational Writing K-12

Most writing instruction has focused on personal and creative writing. Increasingly, however, students are required to demonstrate writing skills on informational tasks ranging from constructed response to the SAT. While Six Traits writing was originally developed for personal writing, it is equally applicable to informational writing tasks. This course will connect the strategies of Six Traits to writing for informational purposes, both real-world and assessment applications.
