Creating Integrated Service Learning Projects K-12

"No Room on Your Plate?" This course provides time for the development of an integrated theme unit using Service Learning as the vehicle for delivering the curriculum. We are all aware that our plates are full and adding another demand is not practical. Service Learning is a technique that engages students in the curriculum that they are responsible for mastering while being active, contributing members of their communities.

Educators will have the opportunity to use the standards that they are responsible for teaching and assessing to work through the process of developing an integrated unit. Teams and partners are encouraged to register, as well as individual teachers.
